Turkey – Setting up an analytical lab

KAIN coordinated the setting up of an analytical laboratory in Turkey for one of her customers. Activities started in February 2009 with the design of a floor plan and putting the necessary infrastructure in place. Forensic investigation in humane matrices

The firm Ducares and KAIN are about to enter into a 4-year partnership agreement with the aim of developing and deploying high-value toxicological analysis methods for forensic investigation on a commercial basis. The primary motivation for this partnership is the ample experience and expertise of Mr Kerkdijk, which he acquired in his former position as head of the NFI toxicological laboratory in Rijswijk. Acquisition of TNO on-line VOC patent

KAIN is taking over the on-line VOC patent of TNO Kwaliteit van Leven, previously developed by the founder of KAIN in salaried employment. This patented invention can be used to purify dirty and high molecular samples on-line using GPC for example, prior to a quantitative GC/LC analysis. The intention is to develop the technique further and eventually to market it in cooperation with an instrument firm. The technique is described in detail in the enclosed article.
